Children

At GracePoint we believe in nurturing the hearts and minds of our youngest members. Our Children's Ministry is a vibrant and loving community dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children to grow in faith.

NURSERY

0-14 Months

While parents attend our Worship Service, their little ones are lovingly cared for in a safe and nurturing environment in our Nursery. Children can nap or play with age-appropriate toys, guided by our caring, background-checked volunteers who have agreed to our child protection policies.

Our Nursery offers a warm, welcoming space where young children feel at home and parents can feel at ease. It is fully stocked with safe, age-appropriate toys, and we prioritize cleanliness. After each service, the Nursery is thoroughly disinfected to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all.

PRESCHOOL

15 mo – 2 yrs  &  3 – 5 yrs

On Sundays, our preschool-aged children are divided into two groups to better meet their individual needs. Both classes gather upstairs in the Student Center, where they will enjoy age-appropriate activities and teaching in a fun, safe environment.

What We Teach:
First impressions are important. That’s why we use the First Look curriculum to give preschool children a first impression of their loving heavenly Father. The curriculum keeps it simple and fun, repeating one basic truth about God all month long. The activities tickle all the senses that makes mastering the concepts a blast. Crazy fun activities to crafts to large group Bible story and worship time, it’s all part of the plan to help a child believe three key things by the time they are five years old:

  1. God made me.
  2. God loves me.
  3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

ELEMENTARY

K-2nd & 3rd-5th

On Sundays, our elementary class is divided into two groups to better serve their age-specific needs. Children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade meet upstairs in the Student Center, while children in 3rd through 5th grade gather downstairs in the Student Center. Both groups learn the same lesson, but their activities are tailored to suit the specific needs and developmental stages of each age group.

What We Teach:

Every Sunday we use a curriculum called 252 Basics. The name, 252 Basics, is inspired by Luke 2:52: “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.” There are 3 basics truths, modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52, that we want every child to know by the time they leave 6th grade:

  • I need to make the wise choice.
  • I can trust God no matter what.
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated
